Ensemble Soundstreams
Soundstreams is a world leader among contemporary music companies, based in Toronto, Canada. Soundstreams is the foremost global presenter of new Canadian music, now celebrating its 35th season under Founding Artistic Director Lawrence Cherney.
Soundstreams presents 3 annual performance series in Toronto, in venues ranging from 100 to 1000 seats. It has an extensive education and outreach series including an Emerging Composers Workshop, commissioning, touring, and a digital platform that includes the SoundMakers interactive website.
Ensemble Soundstreams is a flexible instrumental and vocal ensemble chosen from among the finest artists in Canada, and its members are renowned for their passion and commitment to new music. It performs regularly in the Toronto series and tours extensively. The Ensemble has toured in Canada, China, Scandinavia, the USA and Mexico. The Vivier project will tour the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany beginning in 2018.
