Laurent Gay founded the Ensemble vocal Séquence in Geneva in 1993. It very soon received invitations to take part in various festivals. Since 1996 the ensemble has worked together with numerous other ensembles. It is in this context that the ensemble pursues its exploration of the repertoire for small vocal ensemble from the 20th and 21st centuries. Since it was founded, the Ensemble vocal Séquence has been responsible for numerous world premières. Today, the Ensemble vocal Séquence is well established on the music scene of Geneva and French Switzerland as a whole, and is regularly praised for the quality of its performances, the originality of its concert programmes and its unique approach.
